Much of the lapis lazuli available on the market is colour-enhanced, although this isn't always disclosed. Truly untreated lapis with this depth of colour is considerably rarer and typically costs several times more than colour-enhanced material. I believe in being transparent about the gemstones I use so you can purchase with confidence.
